Install
ssp. The installer downloads the latest release for your system, checks its SHA-256 checksum and putssspon yourPATH.Terminal window curl -fsSL https://subscreen.dev/install.sh | shIt installs to
~/.local/bin(change withSSP_INSTALL_DIR).Terminal window irm https://subscreen.dev/install.ps1 | iexIt installs to
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\sub-screen-playerand adds it to yourPATH.You can also download the archive yourself or build from source.

Linux only: allow access to the display. Install the udev rule, then replug the display.

Plug in the display and start the daemon. The clock appears.
Terminal window ssp serve -
Try a few commands in another terminal.
Terminal window ssp devices # list displaysssp show photo.jpg --fit cover # show an imagessp clock --no-seconds # back to the clock, without secondsssp brightness 60 # backlight in percent -
Start it at login. Stop
ssp servewith Ctrl-C, then:Terminal window ssp service install
